Legion, Stockade & Center Lakes

Quiet water inside Custer State Park for paddling, fishing and picnics.

Beyond Sylvan Lake, Custer State Park has several calmer lakes. Legion Lake sits right beside US 16A with a loop trail, picnic spots and easy paddling, while Stockade and Center Lakes offer fishing and relaxed shorelines.

They make an easy pause between scenic drives, and the water is a good place to watch for waterfowl and the occasional deer at the edge.
